QUESTION

Can I still get scholarships if I've been caught shoplifting?

More details to this question:
I am 16, and I got caught stealing $20 worth of stuff from a store. I payed the ticket that the cops gave me on scene (which was $200), and I got banned from said store. It is a sealed juvenile record, but I know that the government can open it up to look at what I did. My question is, if I stay out of trouble, and maybe volunteer at places, can I still get scholarships? My GPA is a current 3.84 and I am in all honors classes. I have nothing below an A. I am a good kid, I just made one mistake and it might ruin my chances to do the things I wanted to be when I grow up.
