Can I sue or prosecute the county for posting a minors identity without permission or evidence?

More details to this question:
There’s a picture of me on Facebook that the county police scanner took, I went to a store and didn’t buy anything cause everything was too expensive when i counted it all up so I just threw it in a random spot in an aisle and left. A week later they post a picture of my face saying they caught me stealing 500$ worth of stuff but apparently no one saw me steal anything they just assumed it was me cause I walked out empty-handed. Anyways the store contacted the police and they think it’s me so they posted a picture of my face on the internet and I’m 17. I can’t go to school tomorrow cause everyone’s going to be asking me questions and assuming stuff. Plus someone who works there commented on it and I feel this is a defamation or exploitation on my reputation. I won’t be looked at the same at school and I might need to move to find a job now. Is there anything I can do
