Can my attorney get a misdemeanor warrant dropped?

Asked on Dec 05th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Missouri
More details to this question:
I have a warrant out that's for a misdemeanor but the bail is set at $1500. I know they will take less but I can't afford enough that they will accept. Can my lawyer get it dropped and set up a new court date?

Yes, most likely, but it depends on which court it's in and whether you have a history of multiple warrants in that court. However, if you have already pleaded guilty and then you failed to pay the fine, the court probably will not allow your attorney to lift the warrant.
