More details to this question:
If I receive certified mail stating I have a court date at the superior court on the county I live in but it is not really from the court but from and individual what options do I have? Am I able to press charges or anything?
You need to address a subpoena. It is official document. If you ignore the subpoena, you are subject to the court holding you in contempt. You must address the problem and you must do it in writing.
