More details to this question:
Can the DA prosecute us for something our tenants did? We have given the DA the names of the tenants and they can prove they can easily prove they did it.the tenants were legitimate hemp growers that grew pot instead. 52lbs. We had zero Knowledge of their being marijuana in the building we had never set foot in the building we did not have keys we did not have access The cops were tipped off by the owner of the actual property who retaliated against me you did against me turning them in them in period so apparently the owner actually had knowledge which I did not. I Sublette the property With the owner's knowledge. The seller threatened me to turn me in and then did. We have reason to believe that the seller hired the tenants tenants to come in and purposely grow pot. The tenants paid our electric bill with their credit card for the last 9 months the tenants had a lease I had copies of the money's received from them I have text messages I have proof I have witnesses countless witnesse

DAs can (and often do) prosecute people who did not commit the crime they are charghed with - because they get information from law enforcement that makes them beleive that they can prove the case. To be convicted of a crime you certainly must have beenproven to have done something to facilitate the crime being committed by these sub-leasees.
