Can the same county or state charge me twice for the same domestic case?

More details to this question:
Charges were dropped, can same county/state re charge me for same domestic case. If I don't plead guilty to another domestic charge in different county as a misdemeanor the first county said they will re charge the case that was dropped. Can they really do that?
Maybe. It depends on the circumstances surrounding the dismissal. If the case was dismissed by the judge for lack of evidence, then usually the prosecutor cannot recharge. On the other hand, if the prosecutor just dismissed the case early on, then they probably can refile the charges later. Make sure you have a good lawyer working on both cases for you.
