My husband paid an attorney $1500 to take his DWI case. It went on for a year. We feel that she didn't do much for us. Right before we were trying to take it to trial, which we did not pay her another $1500 yet for because we were trying to get it to go to drug court or a better plea maybe. She then takes a position under the prosecuting attorney that was against my husband and pulled herself from our case a month before his trial appearance. She took too long to get the video from the cell (so it was destroyed). She never put the cop on the stand and cross examined him against the police report like she told us in the beginning. Which is why we hired her and gave her the money in the first place. Now we have to pay another lawyer $1500 to take the case and $1500 a day for trial. Because they dropped charges and then refiled them again against him. So we are now looking at another year of this. Do you think we should get any or some money back from her?
