QUESTION

Can you make bail once your probation is revoked?

Asked on Dec 04th, 2014 on DUI/DWI - Michigan
More details to this question:
My husband was on a sobriety program probation for getting 2 DUIs and his probation was revoked to 365 days but on the inmate look up page, where it describes his charges, it says his bond is $5,000 10%. Could that just be old? I always thought once you're sentenced you can't make bail.

You are correct that is likely information that has not been kept current. Once he was sentenced the bail opportunity goes away, other wise many people in jail would happily pay it and get out.

You are right. Bond is to make sure you come to Court. Once you are sentenced, that is it.

If he has been sentenced to incarceration, there is no bail available. I would have to look at the details in order to be able to form a firm opinion.
