More details to this question:
They said I have a kitchen in my basement and tenents paying rent. I do have three friends who live with me. Code enforcement just gave me paper work saying I have to go to court for this. What am I looking at as far as fines go

IT APPEARS AS IF CODE ENFORCEMENT IS CLAIMING THAT YOU HAVE AN ILLEGAL BASEMENT APARTMENT. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REMOVE THE KITCHEN AND OCCUPANTS. THE MONETARY FINE CAN USUALLY BE NEGOTIATED.
