More details to this question:
I have a friend that had some felonies in the state of Illinois and 1 DUI in TN. Its been since 1987 since he's been in any trouble in Illinois and the DUI was in 1999 or 2000. None of the felonies he had were not considered "Violent Crimes." They were all mostly shoplifting, burglary and petty theft in Illinois. With all of this being said he was wondering if he could have his records expunged considering the length of time it has been since he have been in any trouble and that I have no "high violent" crimes.

I can not answer the question as to Illinois but the DUI in Tennessee can not be expunged.
