Yes, you could be charged. However, it would be hard for them to identify you though unless someone recognized you or they got your car's information. Simply because a person is charged does not mean they will be convicted. The prosecutor must prove any allegations beyond a reasonable doubt. I strongly advise anyone charged with a criminal offense to exercise their right to council and either retain a lawyer or request that the court appoint them a lawyer payable at the public's expense.
