More details to this question:
My Motorcycle was stolen from me March 2015 - it was recovered this past week. My bike was valued at 5,000 and the man was charged with receiving stolen property of 5,000 & higher. I paid to get it out of impound and to have it estimated for damages. The estimate came out to $2150 (Including impound fees) I have tons of evidence (Which is just too much to explain) showing this man either A. Stole it, B. Knew who stole it or C. Stole it himself. as well as BEFORE and AFTER pictures. So my question is, how does the court process go for this situation and how can I have this restitution added into his fines WHEN he is convicted
You should provide all of this information to the prosecutor's office so that it can be added to the charges. You will also be advised of all court dates involving this matter, and can provide informaiton to the court regarding damages. Make sure you know the docket number of the case so that you can label your information with that docket number.
