QUESTION

Debit card fraud

Asked on Dec 01st, 2014 on Criminal Law - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I lost my debit card. The wallet I had made things fall out of it. It was taken and used at ATMs. They had the PIN, which was written inside the wallet. $600.00 was stolen and debit card company won't reimburse me. It was used where there are no surveillance videos. How do I get my money back? I'm on Disability, and that was disability money. Also, is it a felony or misdemeanor in NJ? Please don't tell me NJ doesn't have felonies or misdemeanors. I know that. Lol. It's for the sake of discussion.

the key to success is based upon how quickly you notified the debit card company of the fraudulent use of the card. if you notified them asap, then you have a far better chance of getting your money returned. ed dimon
