More details to this question:
Hello I was charged May 3rd with obstruction of justice and breaking and entering felony 4. I was said to be the lookout man but I was not the people squeezed Between the car impound lot fence and attempted to get money out of a car. I was standing across the street observing this but within seconds the guys tried to break the window but was unsuccessful. Nothing was stolen nor damaged. I had nothing to do with this they got away I walked away because I had nothing to do with the crime but ran When a car came on the same path I was on it was a cop car but I didn't know his lights were not on. I went to the station and gave a report on what I saw. I was sent to jail on $250 bond and to help my situation I gave them my phone to search to see if I had any connection to this (which I didn't). What are my chances to win this case. To make matters better I am a college athlete and it was my first jailable charge. Please help

If this matter is still pending, based on your facts, there is a plausability to having a reduction or dismissal. But, one would have to be fully immursed in the case to determine where the problems with the prosecutions case are. The State has to prove each element of both charges and applying your facts to them, they may not have a solid case. In addition, you were cooperative with the police (except for running) in handing over your phone. Find counsel.   Nicholas Froning
