QUESTION

Do I have to keep going back to the state because of DUI?

Asked on Apr 14th, 2015 on DUI/DWI - Florida
More details to this question:
I was visiting my sister in Florida and I was arrested for a DUI after I had only 2 glasses in wine. The cop said that I rolled through a stop sign which is definitely not true. I do not live in Florida, I live in Texas. Do I have to go back for every hearing or is there something else I can do? This is the first time I’ve ever been arrested for anything.

If you have an attorney talk to them, some Judges make provisions for out of state citizens. If no attorney the Judges policy will control. Some are more lenient than others.
