More details to this question:
I am 19 years old. 4 of us want to a lake at night, while I and one of my friend was talking. I saw some people coming in the dark, didn't know who it was. 2 of us me and a friend started walking away to leave. I heard hi you, started to run, and got in my car. While leavening I saw a red car parked, which was a cop car, but at the time I didn't know. And also I didn't know that the people I saw in the dark and just ran away from was cops. On till I saw lights behind me and stopped. Now I have a day in court and 3 of my friends didn't get anything "because they stopped" he said. I never knew it was cops and I wasn't hiding anything. And is my first time ever encountering the law.
Your biggest concern needs to be your criminal record. You don't want a criminal conviction following you around as you try to make a good life for yourself. I recommend that you retain an attorney so that you can make sure to get the best possible outcome.
