Yes it does. Which is why you should contact an attorney to explore expungement. You need to have successfully completed the entire term of probation, have nothing criminal pending, and not be on probation for any other offense(s).

Yes, a DUI conviction will show up on a background check for someone searching for misdemeanor or felony convictions. There is some action that you can take for employment purposes though. It is possible to get a DUI conviction dismissed once probation is terminated. It is even possible to terminate probation early in some circumstances. There are some limitations to this, but if successful the conviction gets withdrawn and dismissed, and would not have to be reported to a large portion of employers/potential employers.
