QUESTION

Does impaired driving show on a background check?

Asked on Apr 11th, 2015 on DUI/DWI - Michigan
More details to this question:
In February I received at OWI, hired a lawyer, and we got it reduced to impaired driving. I am entering a nursing program in the fall that requires a background check. Does impaired driving show on the report? And for how long will it be on my record? My lawyer said that it should probably not show up since it has not been filed with our Secretary of State yet.

It will be on you record, the visible record, for 10 years (and more). Traffic records never really go away.
