I received a citation in October '12 for failure to maintain lane, and I was told by my probation officer to pay it and everything would be ok. On Dec. 18, '12, Newnan city court entered a plea of guilty because I paid the ticket, and the DDS suspended my license. I drove around unknowingly, and I was pulled over in the City of Tyrone for having a brake light out. I was arrested for driving on a suspended license, and my court date is 2/4/14. I need to know what I can do to keep myself from being further convicted on 2/4/14, so I can keep my job and freedom.
Did you not have a lawyer to explain to you that your license would be suspended? Did the Judge accept your plea without taking your license and explaining this?
