QUESTION

Early termination on Deferred Adjudication

Asked on Feb 13th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Texas
More details to this question:
I received deferred adjudication on a state jail felony in texas back in 2009. Instead of the 5 year probation periond, I received early termination back in November of 2011. Now I did a criminal background check on myself through the texas department of public safety website. Now it shows my record was last updated on 11-28-2011 but nowhere does it show early probation termination and that my case was dismissed. Is it supposed to show this?

You should check with the District Clerk to get the correct information on your record. You can request a non-disclosure order if you wish to keep the record from the public fie years after the probation ended.
