More details to this question:
Got stopped over the weekend for Statute 39:3-10A in Dover, NJ. Renewed the DL on Monday. I am to pay $54 as a fine. Besides the 3x$100 per annum surcharge will I have any other penalties: criminal record, insurance points, etc? Is it worth to go to court for a plea bargain? Thanks, R

you have fixed the problem with nj dmv. do you have a clean driving record ? if so, the fixing of the problem and your clean driving record will allow the prosecutor to give you a break. you will not have a criminal record. ed dimon, esq.
