More details to this question:
If I was charged in 2011 but not found guilty until 2016, do I have to wait from the charge date or the guilty date to get an expungement?

The actual date is when you have completed all your responsibilities under the sentence. For example, paid all the fines and completed probation. Ed Dimon, Esq. 732-797-1600

Time starts from date when all penalties are done. Assuming you did not serve time or pay a fine, the answer is 2016. Edward Zohn, Attorney at Law, 908.791.0312
