Firm arm rights restoration in the sate of Pennsylvania.

I cannot purchase a fire arm in the state of Pennsylvania do to a crime i committed in 1997. Crimes are as follow, Theft by unlawful taking-movable prop, Receiving stolen property, Crim''l misch-tamper W/property in Pike county PA in 1997.
I''m assuming its the class A Misdemeanor -Unlawful taking charge that is keeping me from purchasing a gun.
I was wondering if i could try to get this expunged and what are the odds of it actually happening? Cost and time frame.
I know i cannot purchase in PA but is it still legal for me to own a firearm and have a firearm in my home that doesn''t have to be registered? Example: Rifle,tactical rifle or shotgun? I ask because my grandfather left me his gun collection when he passed. I want to make sure I''m not breaking the law.
Any if would greatly be appreciated

For purposes of your ability to possess or own firearms, any device designed to discharge or propel a bullet will be covered, so that includes the tactical, shotgun, and rifles in your grandfather's collection. I can help you figure out what to do with them. You may be able to expunge if you got ARD, but if you were convicted you will likely need to wait until you either turn 70 or get a governor's pardon. Don't forget that Federal Law also prohibits certain people from possessing firearms, and I would need to know the exact disposition of your case to advise you about that.
