It is impossible to render an opinion based on the limited information provided. It appears you have mistrusted your appointed attorney, but you have,waited to the last minute..
If you want a second opinion or new counsel you will need to pay for those services. Your attorney could try to obtain a continuance so you may do that.
However, I have observed that many clients perceive their attorneys,are in collusion with the prosecution because they don't like the opinion or recommendation. It should be the old adage that if you don't like the message, don't kill the messenger. Another ground could be the late production of discovery.
It further appears that you do not have the funds to retain counsel. I do not believe based on your speculations that the judge would find just cause to appoint new counsel at taxpayer expense.
