More details to this question:
My loved one feels they were misrepresented by a public defender in San Joaquin County. Charges PC273.5(a)[2] & PC12022.7 (e )[01]. and has written a letter to Public Defender, who was once a Prosecutor, requesting help with a Writ of Habeas Corpus in August. He has not gotten a response. I’ve tried to call her and left several messages and have yet to receive a return call. I also tried to contact the Supervisor, and she directed me back to the original defender. In the Court room, everyone including the Judge was female and defender never interviewed any witnesses. There were many witnesses to this case. The courts brought up cases from when he was a minor at the age of 16 and failed to see or mention he hadn’t been in any trouble in 10 years prior to this case yet used the distant past against him. The victim told the public defender that the charges were not valid and did not want to go through with it because she lied in the in the very beginning of the arrest. We need help.
We are in NJ. You need a local attorney. You also need cooperation from both the Public Defrnder and the victim. The proof needs to be rock solid. Ed Dimon
