Gf and I were staying with a friend in bluffton indiana and my girlfriends dad had a stroke so I took off work from june 6th to June 15th when he passed away and we moved from her house back to fort wayne and nothing about theft was mentioned until we left and didnt go back so she went to the police dept and filed a report saying we took money and a house key and she filed that on the 16th a day after my gf dad passed I have messages on my Facebook stating that they were broke and that was why they couldn't come to the hospital. I just don't understand how they can issue a warrant with no proof bc like I said we weren't there for one and for 2 they have no money. So can anyone please help what do I do now. Whats my next step

You need to get an attorney to help defend the charges.  They have already charged you so the prosecutor must think there is enough evidence.  At this point only help from an attorney can possibly resolve the charges in your favor.  If you can't afford an attorney you can ask for a public defender but would have to turn yourself in on the warrant first.   A private attorney could help with getting you turned in or the warrant recalled.
