How can avoid jail time if I did grand larceny but my record is clean and this is my first offense?

The first time was at my job. They want to press charges. I didn't get arrested at the time. It's my first offense and I don't want to go to jail. Is there something I can do?

Some first time offenders do time. Some do not. You're better off engaging counsel to work on your behalf to help the state see an acceptable solution that does not require incarceration.
