How can I get a citation dismissed?

More details to this question:
I left my purse at work, which contained my driver license. I did not realize this until I was on my back to work. I drove into a police check-point and provided my information. The officer verified my information to be correct and issued me a citation. What can I say in court to have this citation dismissed or to not have to pay a fine?

Take your license with you to court and ask the prosecutor to drop it. I assume you were charged with "no license on person"? Its a no point ticket, but take your license and see if they are willing to work with you.
