how can i get my record cleared

More details to this question:
was convicted in 1978, for arson, only on my x-wife testimony, the judge has since died, the lawyer I had has died, there is no record of the trial, there was no record of the probation, (3 years) for arson, no jury. was not put on my record until 2008, when I applied for a gun permit, after working as a prison guard for 6 years.
