QUESTION

How can I have my class 3 felonies expunged?

More details to this question:
My question is if there are any possibilities of getting my felonies expunged? This matter took place in Paris, IL in the year 2002. The charges are aggravated battery and damage of government property. At that time, I had a court appointed attorney and was not able to state my case. Also I was not told that I had a 30 day period to where I could fight my case so I assumed that there was no way to fix the issue. The matter of this issue was I was jumped and trying to defend myself and during court, that was never brought to the judge's attention. If you can please help, I have been trying for the last 11 years to better my life, get a job and support my family but unfortunately I have not been able to do that due to the felony charges. I also have a witness who would more than likely testify to what had happened.

Use IL as your state to get answers from lawyers there. Texas lawyers do not generally know IL laws.
