How can I release my boyfriend from harassment charges?

So my boyfriend doesn't want me talking to any guys and he threatened to beat some of them up if they talked to me. And he was part of a gang; he sent me a message while I was at a conference saying that I should be careful on the bus ride home and I asked why and he told me that he thinks that his friends are gonna follow the bus home and if they see me talking to a guy then they're gonna stop the bus and shoot every single guy in there. My two friends saw this conversation and told one of my teachers and she had to call the police. And they told they wanted his information because they want to check up on him to make sure the threat wasn't real. And the police questioned him and he said he did send that text but he wanted to apologize quickly but his phone died. He now has to go to court and the judge will have to decide what to do with him. Can I get him out of this situation? Like can I talk to my teacher/friends and get them to say something so that he doesn't go to court???
