How can I remove my charges out of my record?

More details to this question:
I have a felony for felonious assault and a misdemeanor assault and battery. It occurred in 1995 when I was 18. My case is in Detroit Michigan. This case is over 18 years ago

If your record, other than that, is clean you can most probably have the conviction expunged and removed from your records, which I would advise strongly.
