You can't "completely erase" the convictions in your criminal background. There are only a few types of felony convictions in Missouri that can be expunged, and only after 20 years of good behavior. Those felonies are 1) passing a bad check, 2) fraudulently stopping payment on an instrument, and 3) fraudulent use of a debit or credit device. You have to file a petition in court and attend a hearing before a judge. It's up to the judge regarding whether to expunge the felony conviction. You can file the petition yourself without an attorney, but your best bet for success is to hire an attorney to handle it for you.
