How do I get my civil and gun rights restored after a non-violent felony that I received in 2005?
Asked on Dec 15th, 2015 on Expungements - Michigan
More details to this question:
I received the felony in 2005 for burglary 1st & unlawful transaction with a minor due to a juvenile and another former acquaintance breaking into someone's home and removing items. I received a total of 15 years for this and have since served out my time. I was released after almost a decade and completed my time on parole also. I now am currently living in Michigan and would like the information on or the help in restoring my rights.
It sounds like you have two felonies, which makes them unable to be set aside under current law. Only two misdemeanors and one Felony can be expunged under the new law.
