How do I handle a warrant on a trafic violation?

More details to this question:
I received a ticket a while back maybe a year or less for running a stop sign that I did not run. I just received a phone call stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest unless I paid $500. I never went to court on this matter but I have a witness that was with me on the night it happened that can verify that I did not run the stop sign. How should I go about handling this?

Either hire a traffic attorney that will vouch for you and also take care of the warrant, or pay off the warrant at a bail bondsman, get a new court date, and then hire a traffic attorney.
