How do I remove a battery charge from about 16 years ago?

lt was with my adopted daughter. l just found out about it and want to know if l can have it removed. l thought and think it was a domestic violence with my ex-wife. l was turned down to be a guardian advocate for my 18 year old daughter that has down's syndrome. This is how l found out about the charge from my 16 year old adopted daughter at the time. l believe it was a misdemeanor and l pled no contest because l was told that it was not an admission of guilt and believe l was misled.
