QUESTION

How do I resolve a felony bench warrant in another state?

Asked on Jun 28th, 2016 on Criminal Law - Oklahoma
More details to this question:
After 6 years in the army, I just found out I had a warrant out of state before I joined. I'm supposed to move out of my house next month and go to school but I can't go to this school until I fix the problem. I don't have the money to hire anyone right now and I don't know how long I would have to sit in jail or be in that state to fix it. I can't be in the state longer than a week.

The reality is you are not going to be in control of the time frame. As far as time and expense, it will greatly depend on what caused the warrant to be issued, what is unresolved for you in the other state, and how much, if any, of the maatter can be addressed by your counsel before you arrive on the scene.
