QUESTION

How does one get a record sealed?

Asked on Apr 17th, 2015 on Criminal Law - Texas
More details to this question:
I was released from probation over five years ago on a deferred adjudication felony controlled substance charge in Texas. No further record or incident since that time. This is the only Incident and criminal record. How can I get this removed or sealed so that it doesn't show up on background checks for employment and other searches?

Hire a lawyer to file a petition for nondisclosure. Based on what you have provided, you are eligible (although it is not given that it will be granted - which is why you need a lawyer.)
