QUESTION

How is a lock down rehabilitating my daughter?

Asked on Mar 09th, 2017 on Criminal Law - Indiana
More details to this question:
My daughter was in a correctional and she was doing GED classes, etc. trying to get time cuts. They moved her to a women’s prison and she has been in lock down for 3 months. For 3 weeks, they had no phones or visits. When they are in lockdown, they have to wait on guards to let them go to bathroom and get sack breakfast and sack supper no lunch. My daughter said a lot of girls have cut themselves. How is this helping my daughter? No wonder when these young people get out they go back to drugs if this is all they are doing for them.

Good reason to go out and get involved in politics to elect candidates that agree that just warehousing young offenders is a lousy idea.
