How long after your probation can you get your carrying permit?

More details to this question:
I am on probation for domestic misdemeanor simple assault. My probation it's almost at max date and I was interested in obtaining a carrying permit afterwards. I've never been convicted of a felony or anything.

If you were convicted of a Misdemeanor 1 or 2 Simple Assault, you cannot possess a gun under PA and Federal law.
