How long can they keep you in jail before arraignment?

More details to this question:
Lives in Indiana and was going to bail him out of Rees City Michigan. They said he wouldn't be able to leave the state to go home to work until Nov 30 so we left him in there to get arraigned tomorrow can they keep him longer?
