QUESTION

How long do I have to worry about a DUI charge?

Asked on Jan 27th, 2016 on DUI/DWI - Indiana
More details to this question:
I was stopped for DUI in Indiana in 2004. I went to court on the day I was supposed to. I was not on the docket and was told I would be given a new court date. I have never been given a new date, but there is a warrant for a rearrests. I went to trucking school in Indianapolis in 2007 and got my cdl. No problem then. I got an overweight ticket from the Indiana state police in 2011. No one then either. Do I need to be concerned since it has been over 11 years since this DUI happened?

Yes, if there is a warrant outstanding, you still have a risk. Talk to an attorney in the county where the charge occurred to try to straighten this out.
