QUESTION

How long does the TN parole board have to return a final decision on a revocation hearing?

More details to this question:
My brother was being stalked by an ex-girlfriend. He took all the necessary steps by filing a police report and they told her to stay away. She continued to harass and stalk him so she was arrested. The day she was released she called he police and told them that he showed up at her apartments and threatened to kill her. They issued a warrant for dv-threat of bodily harm. He turned himself in and made bond. He is on parole and so is she. His p.o violated him just on the fact that he was arrested. Upon his release she was granted an order of protection. She has since been rearrested for violating her own order of protection and continuing to stalk and harass him. She sent him a text admitting everything that he said she did. He had a parole revocation hearing on May 12 and has been sitting in prison with no charges. His case was dismissed on April 10, 2017. Since that time SB221 was signed into law and he is still sitting in prison with no decision from the board and no charges.

If the only basis for his revocation was the new charge that was dismissed on 4-10-2017, you would need to contact the Parole Board to find out when he will be released.
