New York does not have an expungement statute. You will have the record forever. You can get a Certificate of Relief From Disabilities to get certain jobs or licenses. That is about $500 or a little more depending on the time plus a $350 filing fee.

It'll cost you less if you appeared at the same courthouse for those charges. It'll cost you more if you didn't.

It depends. If you do it yourself it would just be a $200-300 at the most of your out-of-pocket expenses. If you hire an attorney, they range anywhere from $750 to $2300. I would say that $1,000 or $1,500 would be the average. If you have two convictions on your record, you may not be eligible for an expungement because normally you can have no more than one conviction of any kind on your record. Contact an expungement attorney to go over your case in more detail.

Court filing fees vary slightly from county to county, but are generally right around $320. However, depending on the outcome of your criminal cases, you may not have to pay the filing fee. If you are required to pay the filing fee but cannot afford it, you can apply for a waiver of the filing fee. This is known as proceeding in forma pauperis. In addition to the filing fees, you may also have an out-of-pocket cost for service of the expungement petition on the several law enforcement agencies involved. If the court grants your request to proceed in forma pauperis, you will not have to pay for service of the petition.

Well since you have two convictions you do not qualify under the statute. That does not mean it can't be doe but you would need the agreement of the judge and prosecutor where the convictions took place.

If they can be sealed, then I would charge 2000 for each - unless they are in the same case and then it would only be 2000 total.
