How long is a book? How high is the sky? It depends on the facts of the case, the client's prior convictions, if any. In this area, lawyers usually ask for an advance payment of $1500 to $3,000 for a first or second OWI. The fees are generally higher for subsequent charges.

There is no set fee schedule for how much an attorney charges for his or her services. All attorneys charge differently depending on their experience, locality, complexity of the case, etc. I suggest that you interview a number of attorneys and retain the one you feel most comfortable with and can afford.

I don't think there is a "normal." Each attorney or law firm will set there own pricing. Many of us offer reasonable rates though. Feel free to contact as many as you like to find pricing.

It depends on a whole host of factors. For example, do you have any priors? Are you on probation? Did you have an accident? An excessively high BAC level? Was excessive speed involved? So on and so forth.

It depends on the DUI. A reasonable price to fight a first time DUI is about $5000. More if it goes to trial. If someone charges you less, you have to ask yourself what is it they're not doing to fight my case.

It varies widely, in Utah I have heard of costs anywhere from 2,500-15,000. Best to call around and speak directly with the attorneys. Also it depends on what you want done. Many lawyers, our firm included, charge one amount for pre-trial and another amount once it is set for trial. (99.9%) of cases never go to trial.... Best of luck.

It very much depends on the facts of the case, whether you go to motions and or trial, whether an expert is necessary and the experience of your attorney. There are a bunch of lousy attorneys that will simply stand next to you while you plead guilty that will charge about $1500. Very few of them will actually do anything positive for you. They will be very happy to take your money. Some of the best Colorado DUI attorneys will charge $10000 or more, and be worth it. I know this is a crappy response. I wish I could be more specific. I ask for a $4000 retainer and bill at $300 per hour. If we go to trial, it will likely be closer to $8000 without an expert. Most of my cases that plead out cost between $2000 and $3000. This includes conducting the DMV hearing.
