how much jail time are my friends facing for possession and distribution of marijuana and cocaine?

My two best friends just got arrested the other day. They were caught with 12 ounces of marijuana, and about 20 grams of cocaine. They were charged with possession and distribution for both.

I doubt they will receive any jail time but may receive probation rather than a suspended sentence.

The maximum prison time would be 5 years provided you have no prior convictions. If you have one prior conviction the max is 10 years.
