How to expunge a juvenile record in illinois?

More details to this question:
A friend an I got arrested for shoplifting when we were 17 and they took us to the juvinile department in our local police department we are now 19 and need to get this off our records so we can further our education and get better jobs they said we could get it expunged but they didnt really explain how? what steps do we need to take?
