More details to this question:
I went to court today and my case was dismissed because the guy that pressed charges on me failed to appear. The charge was assault and battery. I want to know even if the case was dismissed it will appear on my record as dismissed but employers will still be able to see that. What would i have to do to get that expunged. I already payed $800 to my lawyer just in case the guy appeared. I don't really have a lot of money to pay him another $450 to get that expunged. Help please?
Yes, unless you have the charges expunged there will still be a public record that you were charged with a crime. Employers and anyone else checking your record will be able to see that and you may have to explain the circumstances every time.
