QUESTION

How to get an expungement?

Asked on Aug 21st, 2013 on Expungements - Missouri
More details to this question:
In 2005 I was charged with possession of a controlled substance. In 2006 I received 5 years deferred adjudicated probation which I completed in 2009 with no further problems with the law. Now I am a Senior at a major University, fixing to start a new career and I need this wiped from my record. How do I go about clearing my record? In May 2012, Texas voted in Governors Pardon for satisfied adjudicated probation but I can not find any information nor forms. Do you think this may be a means to clear my record and if so how do I go about finding the proper forms and rules of procedures?

You have listed this under "Missouri" for felony expungement. In Missouri, a conviction for possession of a controlled substance can never be expunged from your criminal record. If this occurred in Texas, then you should go to the courthouse and see if they have forms that you can file for expungement, but the best option is to hire an attorney to handle this for you.
