More details to this question:
The case was recently on trail and there was a mistrail. Case charges include menacing a police officer, attempted aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. There is no weapon and no one was injured but the defendant who was shot on the scene. The person would like to know how to obtain new counsel/co-counsel due to the fact the current counsel is not acting appropriately to obtain an acquital. As well the legal aid society would not be an option due to the type of case it is.
Your friend would need to obtain new counsel not co-counsel since he wants a new attorney. He can check based on referrals or websites like this one or contact local bar associations which usually have a a referral service.
